40.40 lakh MT of paddy procured in Haryana
CHANDIGARH, Nov 18 2009 : Over 40.40 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived in the mandis of Haryana till Tuesday as compared to 36.44 lakh metric tonnes of paddy arrived during the corresponding period last year.
While stating this on Wedenesday, Mahendra Partap Singh, Food and Supplies Minister, Haryana said that district Kurukshetra was leading in paddy arrival, where over 8.98 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had arrived in the mandis, followed by district Karnal, where over 6.94 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had arrived in the mandis
