Haryana to set up peacock breeding centres
Chandigarh, Nov 18 2009 : (PTI) The Haryana government has proposed to set up peacock breeding centres at three villages and antelopes breeding centres in Nahar wildlife sanctury in district Rewari.
Forest Minister Ajay Singh Yadav, while presiding over the meeting of senior officers of Forest Department here today, said that to save the national bird the state government had chalked out a plan for setting up of a sanctuary and the proposal for the same had been forwarded to the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests for its approval.
